Collectors, formed in 2003 and hailing from Chicago is the brainchild of songwriter/singer/guitarist/frontman Michael Mazza.  Alongside him in the band is Walter Kiefer (bass and keys) and Andy Noonan (lead guitar).  They are augmented by live drummer Eric "Big Red" Prester and guest vocalist Erica Loftus.

The band has been described by one notable festival organizer as "expertly crafted Brit inflected indie rock" with influences ranging from Blur to Buzzcocks to Cheap Trick (hey they are from Chicago after all).  Mazza's songs are known to contain vibrant, long lasting and memorable hooks with compelling lyrics and the band brings a high level of energy to its live performances reminiscent of punk rock.

Over the course of its fourteen year existence the band has graced some of Chicago's finest rock n' roll stages including Subterranean, Beat Kitchen, The Cubby Bear, Livewire Lounge and The Abbey Pub to name a few.  The band has also played the Chicago edition of the highly regarded International Pop Overthrow Festival nine out of the past twelve years.

To date Collectors have released three records:  Reverberation (2004), Travelogue (2006) and Live On WLUW Chicago (2011).  They are currently in the studio hard at work on their new record titled Future Tense scheduled for release in Fall 2017.
